1. Change your air filter

   four times per year using a pleated filter. Avoid using the cheap unpleated filters as they allow fine dirt to get through which will redeposit in the duct work and your home. Some of it will also get into the condensate system creating a possible clog.

2. With the unit running, hose off the exterior of your air conditioner in the spring to clean dust from the unit.

3. Call for regular maintenance at least once a year, ideally twice, to keep the motors, electrical connections, heating components, and other and ends in tip top shape.
